Sending Email to UKG

The Mail mapping has an optional setting that allows you to set Active Directory as the source of truth for an employees email address.

If this setting is switched on, and the users email address is changed directly in Active Directory, then the updated email address will be sent back to the UKG employee record.

Furthermore, you can specify the target UKG Pro that will be updated (EmailAddress or AlternateEmailAddress) as well as the conditions for the update.

A common use case for using conditions is when you want a changed email address for an Active employee to be sent back to UKG Pro, but you do not want the email address for a Terminated employee to be sent back to UKG Pro.

Sending the Active Directory email address back to UKG will only update the UKG email address field. It will not affect the username stored in UKG's user record. Please refer to this article if you want to update the username and email address.
