The Options section includes additional settings to personalize how Connect to AD behaves.
Let’s go through them one by one to have a better look at what they do:
- LogRetentionLimit – This controls how many logs Connect to AD keeps before it starts deleting the oldest ones during each sync. You can increase or decrease the limit based on your storage capacity or personal preference.
- ProcessIdleSeconds – This sets the number of seconds after which a sync is considered idle. If your server is slow, increasing this value can help prevent premature idle status.
- ProcessTimeOutSeconds – This defines how long an idle sync is allowed to continue before it is considered to have timed out. If your server takes longer to process syncs, raising this value might help.
- ShowUserPasswordInLogs – This determines whether the password set for a newly created user should appear in the logs.
These settings help you further customize Connect to AD to better fit your system’s needs.
